Bangladeshi Lamp Shade

This is a shade to surround a light bulb or a candle. The image of the boat will be backlit when the light source is on. The boat shown, a "ghasi," is one of several types of country boats used in the inland waterways. Boats are vitally important in Bangladesh, both for transportation and communication because about 60% of Bangladesh is covered in a vast river system. Bangladesh is the largest deltaic plain on the planet, a floodplain with more than 700 rivers and numerous oxbow lakes (locally known as haor).
