This display doll is wearing the "karaguna", the female national costume from Thessaly which is still worn today.
The outfit typically consists of the underwear white dress with thick black fringe edge, a wool coat with handmade tufts at the edges of sleeves and embroidery at the hemline, a sleeveless and trim decorated white coat ''sayias'', a short red wool felt waistcoat full of embroideries, a wool felt dark apron which matches to the gold traditional belt and finally a black head kerchief.
