This display doll wears the uniform of the Greek national guards, called "Evzones." The Greek uniform was originally established in the 1800s as the military outfit of the Greek chieftains. It is worn by elite Greek soldiers called Evzones.

The uniform has a wool waistcoat, called a "fermeli," that is heavily embroidered and embellished with metal buttons. The skirt, called "foustenella," has nearly 100 feet of fabric, folded into 400 pleats. The shoes are heavy, with 60 nails hammered into the soles, and silk pom-poms.
