This Greek doll represents the traditional clothing worn by a woman on the Ionian island of Corfu, known in Greece as Kerkrya.
The outfit consists of a colored skirt with colorful decoration at the hemline, a fancy decorated apron with lace at the edge and a white shirt with lace on the chest. A black or burgundy red velvet waistcoat with gold decoration is perhaps the most important piece of the outfit. Typically, a red ribbon is bound into the hair which is rolled off of the face. This doll wears a kerchief with white lace.
