This fairy tale doll depicts all three main characters in the French fairy tale "Little Red Riding Hood." In the story, a little girl dressed in a red cape walks through the forest to deliver food to her grandmother. On the way, she meets a wolf and tells him her plans. The wolf then rushes to and arrives at the grandmother's home first and eats the grandmother. He then awaits the arrival of the little girl and eats her too.

The earliest printed version of the story was written by Charles Perrault in the 1690s. He explained the moral of the story that children, particularly girls, are wrong to listen to strangers. The story was certainly based on earlier folk tales, and was, in turn, modified in later years by other writers.
