This Armenian doll is dressed in the traditional clothing of a woman. Armenia has many different communities, and the traditional clothing varies among them and the social status of the wearer.
Most commonly, women's outfits are red, with a long dress, called "arkhalig." In the western part of Armenia, embroidered aprons are a part of the outfit. The headdress includes a skullcap, called "arakhchi," with a veil attached.
