Czech Costume Dolls: "Panenki" - "Kroj" Traditional Costume

This doll is wearing a traditional Czech folk costume, called kroj. Every village or area had its own kroj. The costume played an important role, showing where the wearer was from, whether she was married (if she was wearing a kerchief or hat) or single (if she had nothing, or flowers, in her hair). This doll represents a married woman.
