"Jin Chan" means "golden toad". Often depicted as a bullfrog portrayed with red eyes and flared nostrils, this figure is a popular Chinese symbol for prosperity. The toad is sitting on piles of traditional Chinese money and has a coin in its mouth

Feng shui masters recommend placing the jin chan within view of the front door of a home to invite money in; the frog is then turned backwards during nighttime, to prevent this newly earned luck from going away. For prosperity in business, the jin chan should be placedĀ  near a cash register or the shop/store reception area.
