These dice are used for the gambling game "langurburja." Langurburja means dice in the Nepalese language.
The game is played with a set of six dice of different markings. The markings are spades, hearts, diamonds, clubs, crowns and flags.
The players can put their money on a symbol, and gain depending on how many times this symbol is thrown with the six dice. The game may be played on the street using chalk to picture the six symbols, or at home using a small carpet.
