Japanese Display Doll: "Ryukyu" Doll - Daimyo

This doll represents a samurai warrior or a daimyo aristocrat of Japanese culture.

The doll was most likely made in the Okinawa Prefecture where artisans have been making modern dolls since the 1940s. The dolls collectively are called "Ryukyu" dolls.
